TMJ Myofascial Release

Our TMJ Myofascial Release therapy provides focused relief for those experiencing jaw tension, clenching, and TMJ-related discomfort. Regular sessions—typically 1–2 times per week—help ease muscle tightness, restore natural jaw movement, and support overall relaxation of the face, neck, and head.

Jenna’s certified expertise includes specialized training in TMJ Myofascial Release, offering personalized care for those struggling with jaw pain, tension, and dysfunction. Whether you’re dealing with chronic clenching, stress-related tightness, or TMJ disorder, our sessions are designed to release restricted tissue, improve mobility, and support your body’s natural ability to heal and realign.

Sessions typically last 60 minutes and may be recommended once or twice a week, depending on your needs. Many clients begin to notice changes within the first few sessions, especially when combined with stress-reducing habits or dental guidance when needed.

Expert Care for Wellness and Recovery

WHO IS THIS FOR?

TMJ Myofascial Release is ideal for those experiencing:

  • Chronic jaw tension or stiffness

  • Teeth grinding (bruxism) or frequent clenching

  • Headaches or migraines stemming from jaw tightness

  • Clicking, popping, or locking of the jaw

  • Neck, face, or shoulder tension connected to jaw dysfunction

  • Stress-related holding patterns in the face and mouth

If you’ve tried other therapies but still wake up with tension or discomfort in your jaw and surrounding areas, this hands-on approach may be the missing piece.

HOW IT WORKS?

TMJ Myofascial Release uses gentle, sustained pressure to target the muscles and fascia around the jaw, skull, and neck. Jenna works externally along the jawline, cheeks, scalp, and neck, and may include light internal work (with gloves) inside the mouth—only if you’re comfortable.

Each session is:

  • Customized to your comfort and symptoms

  • Designed to gradually release muscle adhesions and facial tension

  • Focused on creating space and balance within the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and surrounding areas

BENEFITS YOU MAY NOTICE:

  • Eased jaw tension and reduced pain

  • Fewer headaches and facial pressure

  • Improved jaw mobility and alignment

  • Better sleep and reduced teeth grinding

  • A deeper sense of calm and nervous system regulation

WHAT IS TMJ MYOFASCIAL RELEASE?

At Exhale Massage Orlando in Maitland, TMJ Myofascial Release is a gentle, non-invasive hands-on technique that targets the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles. When fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can contribute to tension, pain, and misalignment in the jaw, face, and neck.

This specialized technique involves applying a gentle stretch to the restricted fascia until resistance is felt. Then, sustained pressure is held for 90 to 120 seconds (or longer) to encourage the tissue to release. As the fascia begins to soften and open, Jenna follows the trail of tension throughout related areas to promote full-body relief and balance.

These releases help:

✓ Take pressure off sensitive nerves and blood vessels

✓ Restore natural movement to muscles and joints

✓ Improve circulation and decrease inflammation

✓ Reduce the intensity and frequency of jaw pain
